Foolproof security for 104 churches on Christmas eve

Enemies can only be countered after creating interfaith harmony, says district commissioner

SARGODHA: The district administration and police have prepared a comprehensive plan to maintain the security of 104 churches across the district, on the eve of Christmas, December 25, said the Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh on Thursday.

He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of inter-faith harmony and religious coordination committee.

“All persons have equal rights in the country and enemies can only be countered after creating interfaith harmony,” said the DC.

The District Police Officer (DPO) Amara Athar, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Bilal Feroz, representatives of Muslim community Tahir Karmani, Qari Waqar Usmani, representatives of Christian community Father Zafar, Pervaiz Shali, Tariq Iqbal and representatives of Hindu community Dalib Chand participated in the meeting.
