DSP and 4 policemen charged with murder

Policemen raided a house in Garhi Khairo where they opened fire on its occupants killing four people.

JACOBABAD:

The police have registered a murder case against four policemen and Garhi Khairo DSP Mumtaz Khuhro on Saturday.

Reportedly, the five men killed four people including two minors in a raid near Garhi Khairo. The death of a man from the Bhatti community in an armed clash between the Bhatti and Katohar communities led DSP Mumtaz Khuhro to raid a house in Garhi Khairo and open fire on the occupants which killed two villagers Lemoo Katohar and Sachal Katohar. According to reports, they also burnt the house which killed two children.

Lemoo Katohar’s relative, Sohni Bibi has filed a petition in the Sindh High Court Larkana bench. She claims that the DSP and policemen raided her relative’s houses and killed four people. The court has asked the police to register case against the DSP and the policemen. No arrests have been made so far.
