A statement issued by the Lakki Marwat police on Wednesday stated that the operations were conducted under the National Action Plan (NAP) on the directions of SSP Qasim Ali Khan.
The suspects arrested were allegedly involved in criminal activities such as murder, attempted murder and attempted robbery apart from proclaimed offenders.
During the snap checking, police said that they had recovered five hand grenades, 26 Kalashnikovs, a Kalakovs, 10 rifles, 80 pistols, 2,876 rounds of ammunition of varying calibre.
In a crackdown against drug dealers in the district, the SSP said that they had recovered 71 kilogrammes of hashish, 965 kilogrammes of heroin, 590 grammes of crystal methamphetamines (also known as ice).
Security personnel also checked 865 rented house for implementation of tenancy laws. Security arrangements in 921 schools were also checked along with 36 hotels, 36 bus stations and over 948 sensitive and important places.
