LAHORE:

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Fast Track Coaching Programme for fast-bowlers and batsmen has been wrapped up two days ahead of the actual schedule.

Former players Sarfraz Nawaz and Aaqib Javed supervised fast-bowler training sessions, while Mohsin Khan and Ijaz Ahmed supervised the batsmen’s training. The camp was held under the supervision of Intikhab Alam and played host to several batsmen such as Taufeeq Umar, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali and Umar Akmal.

Chief Selector Mohsin stated that the flaws in the batting style have been rectified and will be reflected in the players’ performances in future.

Pacers including Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Talha received training from Sarfraz. Umar Gul, Junaid Khan and Wahab Riaz, despite being named, were unable to attend due to other commitments.

The camp for spinners and wicket-keepers will begin on Monday under the supervision of leg-spin legend Abdul Qadir.
