Three passengers suffer heart attacks on international PIA flight

Emergency services shift two passengers to the hospital, one woman dies

ISLAMABAD: Three passengers suffered heart attacks on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Jeddah to Islamabad on Monday.

The incident happened on PIA PK-742 which had around 225 passengers on board.

A woman, who was among the three, died as a result. The other two passengers, a wife and her husband, survived the ordeal.

Although the flight made an emergency landing at Karachi's Jinnah Terminal airport, the woman could not be saved.

An ambulance of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), doctors and other staff members arrived on the tarmac to shift the other two ailing passengers to a medical facility.

The deceased was identified as Swabi-bound Mahala Bibi who died due to her ailment.
