Unknown whereabouts: SHC asks for missing employee report

She claimed that her husband was picked up by the LEAs from Malir Halt area on January 6 and has been missing since.

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) directed Additional Secretary Home Department Muhammad Riazuddin to submit a progress report on the whereabouts of an employee of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), who has been missing since January. Beena Khalid moved the SHC to recover her husband, Khalid Shamim, 37, from the alleged detention of law enforcement agencies (LEAs). She claimed that her husband was picked up by the LEAs from Malir Halt area on January 6 and has been missing since. The SHC directed the Home Secretary to appear in person and explain the progress  of the case. Reportedly, Riazuddin had filed a progress report, which stated that raids conducted in various places had been unsuccessful.
