Mercury likely to drop further over next two days

KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has said that temperature in Karachi is likely to drop further starting today (Wednesday), under the effect of a northwestern system of winds. Consequently, the city will experience cold and dry winds and nights and mornings in the metropolis are going to get colder, he added.

According to a forecast issued by the PMD, mercury in the city will drop by a significant measure as long as the cold wave will last, from November 27 to November 29, during which the temperature is expected to remain between 16 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius.

Met dept forecasts pleasant weather for Karachi

As per the met office prediction, the temperature is expected to drop to 19 degrees Celsius in Karachi today.

On Tuesday, the minimum temperature recorded in the city was 20 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius. Northwestern winds blew in the city at 38 kilometres per hour on the day, while humidity level remained at 28%.
