Chief minister vows to complete Peshawar-DI Khan Expressway  

Says the expressway will provide people with better travelling facilities and will also improve business activities

PESHAWAR: Terming economic stability and long-term development of the province their top priority, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Sunday said that they will try and complete construction of the Peshawar—Dera Ismail Khan Expressway will be made possible for the development of southern districts.

This was stated by Mahmood during a meeting with lawmakers at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar on Sunday.

He clarified that the government is focused on the delivery of justice, rule of law and development of the marginalised sections of society. “Provincial government has taken special measures for the uplift of backward sections of the society beyond politics,” he added.

The expressway, he hoped will not only provide people with better travelling facilities but will also help improve business activities in the southern districts apart from increase access to major markets in the province.
