Dasti had given statements against the party leadership, in particularly against Prime Minister Gilani.
In an earlier report, Dasti told The Express Tribune that he had reservations over the ‘prime minister’s personal bureaucracy who is answerable to no one’.
The co-chairman of PPP took strict notice of Dasti's criticism and has directed political secretary Rukhsana Bangash to investigate the matter and present a report in 48 hours.
Earlier in June, Dasti had resigned from the National Assembly in protest over government inaction to repair dykes and embankments in his constituency, stating that he had made this decision due to the Punjab government’s negligence in not securing the embankments and dykes of Taliri canal in Muzaffargarh.

It is ironic that if a person does not behave like a rat and stays in his party he is bad in all senses of the word. He is arrogant, corrupt, illiterate, rude, crude and no good. However, if the same person changes his loyalties and rats out his party, he becomes a folk hero! Dasti, Marvi, Shah Qureshi and likes are now hero before they were just common petty politicians. What a way to advance a sinking political career? If these people were good then why were they not good when they were in their party and ticket? Now they all have become Hajjis.

Jamshed Dasti is being ungrateful for all the support both President Zardari & PM Gilani had extended when Dasti was almost being kicked out of the Parliament when his fake degrees were discovered. Dasti has criticized PM Gilani on grounds which are not only factually incorrect but is also against party discipline. Dasti should realize that President Zardari, who is not even supposed to deal with party politics being the President of the Federation, had to step in to reprimand him considering the seriousness of the matter. It is high time that PPP MNAs show some gratitude for all the perks and privileges they have been accorded because of being affiliated with PPP.
I hope that President Zardari let him have it and dress Dasti down for his lack of discipline and ungratefulness when he see him on Friday.
Maybe the co-chairperson of PPP needs to summon 180m people (barring a few friends of course) to Islamabad for issuing statements against the current leadership
