ROUND ROCK: This is with reference to Ahmad Rafay Alam’s article of June 12 titled ‘World’s best mayor?’
Frankly speaking I don’t understand the point of the article. Isn’t it obvious that Mustafa Kamal is not the world’s best mayor? Having said that it is also a fact is that he was a lot better than other mayors around the country, and most, if not all, of his predecessors. While the writer brought up examples from Bogota and Tirana, he should see the regional context within which Mustafa Kamal had to function and what he achieved within that.
Also, how about if the writer – just for once in his life – were to write an article on something good or positive?
