Punjab health minister presides over a special meeting to review performance of PMU

LAHORE: Recently appointed anesthetists would be deputed at all DHQ hospitals to overcome staff shortage, said Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid.

She stated this while presiding over a special meeting to review performance of the Project Management Unit (PMU) on Saturday.

Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Special Secretary Ajmal Bhatti, Technical Advisor Dr Akhtar Rasheed, Professor Javed Chaudhry, Accountability Advisor Dr Naeem Majeed, Mian Zahid and others were also present in the meeting.

The provincial minister ordered for the distribution of medical equipment among all DHQ and THQ hospitals within a week. The special secretary gave briefing to the minister regarding overall performance of the PMU. The provincial minister directed that the project manager should personally visit DHQ and THQ hospitals and submit a report about progress on development projects.
