Fire Security: Fire destroys varsity hostel room

LAHORE: Fire erupted at a room in Punjab University Hostel No 2 due to an electric short circuit on Thursday. Resident officer-1 Javed Sami told The Express Tribune that the fire in room No 246, occupied by Ajja Ram, a Nepali student, spread within a few minutes. Fire fighters were called and the fire was put out within an hour. Ram, a second year student of the Pharmacy Department, said that the furniture, his clothes and documents were destroyed. No one was injured in the incident.
