RAWALPINDI: A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her sister to steal her gold jewellery. Rawalpindi police on Wednesday claimed to have traced the robbery in which a woman was stabbed and injured by another woman in a burqa who snatched ornaments of the victim.

The veiled robber turned out to be the real sister of the victim, SP Potohar Syed Ali told CPO Faisal Rana. “A few days ago, a woman in burqa had stabbed Kulsoom Kausar Shahid and snatched her gold ornaments in the remits of Airport police station,” he said. A team comprising of IT experts and experienced police officers cracked the case and the culprit turned out to be Kulosoom’s sister Salma. CPO Faisal Rana appreciated SP Potohar Syed Ali for tracing the incident. The CPO said that involvement of a real sister in the incident shows deteriorating moral values amid rising greed in a commercialised society.
