‘Activists, govt must work together to ensure rights’

He says the govt has not been successful in providing all the due facilities to the labour force

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information, Archives and Labour Saeed Ghani lauded the lease policy formulated by the government and said that implementation on all the policies and laws would be ensured.

He said while addressing a meeting of the labour department on Thursday that the government has not been successful in providing all the due facilities to the labour force.

"We acknowledge that the government has not been completely successful in providing all the planned facilities to the labourers of this province so far," he said. "Leaders of labour unions and the officers of the labour department must work together to ensure the implementation of the laws and policies formulated by the government."

Ghani said that it is the government's responsibility to provide legitimate benefits to the workforce.
