RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi district administration and the police have finalised a comprehensive security plan for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), scheduled to be observed on Rabiul Awwal 12.

The security plan has designated routes for processions. These routes will be thoroughly inspected through 400 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras which will be rented from the private sector. Feeds from these cameras will be monitored from a control room.

Moreover, a complete ban will be enforced on the entry of bullock carts, heavy vehicles and trucks in the procession. Playing loud music and other instruments, except small tambourines, will be banned as well.

There will be separate processions for the city and cantonment areas. The procession in the city will emerge from Jamia Mosque while the one in cantonment areas will emerge from the Jamia Mosque in Chungi 22.
