Universities given new buses, coasters in Balochistan

As part of measures to uplift the education sector

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Friday handed over the keys of new buses, coasters and ambulances to the vice-chancellors and registrars of government sector universities as part of measures to uplift education sector.

“This initiative [handing over of keys] will save teachers, staff and students’ precious time and energy,” the governor said while presiding over a meeting to review the issues and educational activities of universities.

University of Balochistan Vice-Chancellor Dr Javed Iqbal, Khuzdar Engineering University VC Dr Ehsan Kakar, University of Turbat VC Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, University of Loralai VC Prof Dr Maqsood and Mir Chakar Rind University VC Dr Ali Nawaz Mengal were present in the meeting. Meanwhile, Dr Sajida Naureen was appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University Quetta for a tenure of three years.
