LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has opted for sending a questionnaire to the opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) case.

A team of NAB was supposed to visit him at residence with a couple of questions to be answered. However, the decision was reviewed and the decision has been made to dispatch a questionnaire to his residence to be filled and submitted before the anti-corruption watchdog.

Shehbaz to return to Pakistan tomorrow

The questionnaire had seven questions regarding the purpose of formation of the new company, research and feasibility report and following legal formalities.

Shehbaz had ignored NAB’s summon thrice in the case on the pretext of medical grounds. So, a decision to visit him at the residence on Tuesday was made. However, the anti-graft watchdog has decided to send a questionnaire rather.

Meanwhile, during the initial investigation, NAB has managed to dig out startling details of assets of former federal secretary Salman Ghani reportedly made during his job. Sources said Ghani had three houses in Lahore besides plots in Cantonment, Defence Phase-8, and Phase-V areas. His daughter owned a house in Brussels and another daughter owned a house in Lahore.
