Federal court implicates PSM chairman for corruption

ISLAMABAD: The federal court for anti-corruption on Saturday implicated former Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) Chairman Moeen Aftab in for embezzlement and wrongful use of authority.

The court has summoned witnesses listed by complainant to record their statements as the accused did not plead guilty.

Aftab has been accused of misusing his authority and embezzling a large amount of funds in canteen contracts worth Rs22 billion.

He was arrested by FIA a few months ago from the Defence area of Karachi.

The development came just a day after Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani approved a bail out package of Rs25.1 billion for Pakistan Steel Mills.
