Lawyers on Saturday attacked the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) office in Islamabad while trying to lodge a case against the local administration for not allowing them to build chambers near the police station in Margalla.

The local administration had barred lawyers from building chambers in the vicinity of the Margalla police station terming it as encroachment. The lawyers approached the SSP office demanding registration of a case against the local officials and exchanged harsh words with SP Captain Liqat and and attacked him and his body guard.

However, the other policemen controlled the situation and sent the lawyers out of the SSP office. No further action has been taken in this regard.
