A budget worth Rs294 billion for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was presented in the Provincial Assembly on Saturday.
Provincial Finance Minister Humayun Khan made the budget speech.
Of the Rs294 billion, Rs15 billion accounts for war expenses and Rs25 billion accounts for electricity dues owed to it by the federal government.
Another Rs65 billion have been allocated for development projects and special packages to be announced for Hazara and Malakand.
Funds for 'Tameer-e-Sarhad' Program have also been increased by Rs10 million.
Once the budget is released, government employees are likely to get a 50 per cent salary raise.
Plans for construction of eight small dams in the province are also in the pipeline, 8,000 jobs are to be created in the health, police and education departments.
