UAF takes green initiative 

UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf says the varsity is making serious efforts to ensure foolproof security

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has reformed is Estate Management Department to make it more efficient and turn the campus into a green haven. Addressing a ceremony held in this regard at New Senate Hall on Tuesday, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf said that the varsity is making serious efforts to ensure foolproof security. He stated that special training of security staff was being conducted to equip them with modern techniques in the wake of any situation. Further, he stated that the university was making all out efforts for promoting greenery and will plant 0.1 million sapling at the campus by the end of the academic year. Currently, 15,000 saplings have been planted as the campus so far. He lauded the government for launching the billion tree programme in an effort to mitigate climate change.
