Navratri celebrations begin 

Hindu community decorates their home for the festival

LAHORE: Navratri, a Hindu festival that spans nine nights and is celebrated every year in autumn, has begun. The Hindu community have started fasting and have begun performing their rituals for the festival which is celebrated in the months of September and October every year. In celebration of the festival, the Hindu community have decorated their homes. The Hindu community celebrates the nine-day festival, in which the goddess Devi is worshipped and fasts are observed. On the 10th day known as Dussehra, congregational prayers are held.
