PITB introduces smart monitoring for projects in Punjab

The system aim is to bridge information gaps among different stakeholders

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has formally given the go-ahead to a Rs160 million Smart Monitoring of Development Projects programme.

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the Punjab Planning and Development Department, has proposed an online system for the monitoring of development spending in the province.

Sources said the system was aimed at bridging information gaps among different stakeholders. This IT-based solution will help in cutting down delays and bring transparency and efficiency in the implementation of the Mid-Term Development Framework (MTDF) and Annual Development Programme (ADP). It offers a comprehensive dashboard for smart monitoring of various aspects and indicators of development projects.
