Man shoots in-laws

LAHORE: A man shot dead his mother-in-law and injured his father-in-law in Harbanspura on Saturday. Police officials said that the suspect, Zulfiqar, had contracted a marriage, a year ago. The married couple faced difficulties after which Zulfiqar’s wife filed for dissolution of marriage suit and moved in with her parents. On the day of the incident, the victims were passing by a market when the prime suspect, riding with another suspect on a motorcycle, opened fire. Resultantly, the victims sustained bullet injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced the victim, Farzana Bano, as brought dead. A police team, on information, reached the spot and collected information. Further investigation is underway.
