Dengue awareness seminar held

The secretary says no compromise would be made over Standard Operating Procedures on dengue issue

MULTAN: Dengue virus would be eliminated from every nook and corner of the country, said Parliamentary Secretary Nadeem Qureshi. He stated this while addressing a dengue awareness seminar organised by district administration in collaboration with health department in Multan Arts Council on Friday. A large number of civil society members, women and other citizens from different walks of life attended the event. The secretary briefed that no compromise would be made over Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on dengue issue. Multan Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Sahu briefed that the campaign against dengue would continue till November 30. Dr Ansar Naeem Ullah informed the gathering that dengue larvae grow in dirty as well as clean water.
