Sindh govt serious about resolving issues faced by media, advertisers

Provincial govt has started paying dues to media houses, advertising agencies, says minister

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information & Archives and Labour Saeed Ghani has said that the government is trying to resolve the problems faced by the media and advertising agencies as one of its top priorities.

Addressing a delegation of the Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA), led by its chairman Ali Mandiwala, Ghani said that the government had already initiated steps to make the process of issuance of advertisements transparent. PAA Vice Chairman Nauman Ahmed Nabi, as well as governing body members, Mehmood Parekh and Waqar Hyderi, were present during the meeting.

The minister assured the delegation that that the government would do its best to strengthen the cooperation between the media houses and the advertising associations.

The delegation apprised the minister of the problems faced by the association in the province. Ghani told them that the government has started paying dues to both the media houses and advertising agencies.

The minister also called upon the advertising agencies to play their part in making the advertising process transparent.

The delegation of Pakistan Advertising Association assured the minister of their full cooperation.
