During the discussion, Wazir emphasised the need for further strengthening relations between the two countries, particularly in the commercial and economic fields.
“Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in its efforts and would continue to do so. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan relations are beyond government level. We love Pakistan,” the envoy said while speaking at the Taqaddus Haramain Sharifain conference in Islamabad. The moot was organised by National Ulema and Mushaikh Council.
Al-Malki said the basic message of Saudi Arabia is unity among Muslim community.
The kingdom is busy in providing facilities to the pilgrims, he said, adding that the steps taken by the kingdom for the Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia have been commended and “we are proud of the love and trust we share with Pakistan”.
Former PM Raja Pervez Ashraf said: “The protection of Haramain and its honour was a part of our faith. There is no doubt that every Pakistani loved Saudi Arabia both the countries were like brothers”.
Ashraf condemned the attack on Saudi installations.
Formed federal minister Ijazul Haq said kingdom supported Pakistan on every stance and “now it is our responsibility to side with them”.
The council’s Chairman Pir Sultan Fayyazul Hassan Qadri condemned the attacks on oil installations in the kingdom, saying that it was a planned conspiracy to weaken Saudi Arabia.
The conference was also addressed by the former Azad Jammu and Kashmir PM Sardar Atiq and other political and religious leaders.
