KARACHI: West district model court acquitted three accused on Saturday, including Rehman Bhola, in a double murder case. The additional district judge gave the verdict at Karachi Central jail. The court acquitted Rehman Bhola, Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Naeem in the murder case of two citizens, Mureed Husain and Bashir Ahmed. Bhola’s counsel, advocate Abid Zaman, argued that Bhola was nominated by the police with mala fide intent. He maintained that Bhola was not involved in the crime and argued that the statements given by the prosecution witness were contradictory. According to police, Bhola, Qadir and Naeem murdered the two persons in 2012. The case against them was registered at Baldia Town Police Station.
