Kasb Bank: Chinese businessman becomes chairman

Chinese businessman Suo Lang Duo Ji will take over as the new chairman of KASB bank and bring more investment.

A prominent Chinese businessman will become the Chairman of KASB Bank after approval from the State Bank of Pakistan, and promised more investment in various sectors of the economy, KASB Bank Executive Vice-President Nasir Ali Shah Bukhari said on Saturday.


“I am delighted to say that Suo Lang Duo Ji (Li Yan), has accepted the request to be the Chairman of KASB Bank”, Nasir Bukhari, who was on a visit to China, told APP in an interview. He said that Li had already made an investment of $40 million in KASB Finance, a holding company of KASB Bank. This investment is the first in any private bank in Pakistan from China. Li aged 48, is the founder of the Hong Kong listed company, China Lumena New Materials Corp.
