ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa has refused to grant an adjournment to Justice Qazi Faez Isa's counsel in the hearing of the petition against the presidential reference which accused the SC judge of misconduct over non-disclosure of assets of his family members.

Justice Isa’s counsel Muneer A Malik, who recently underwent an angiography, on September 19 filed an application before the CJP requesting a two-week general adjournment.

In response, the SC Registrar office wrote a letter to Malik which stated that “his application has been allowed with subject to the condition that this general adjournment will not apply to date by court cases as well as cases fixed before larger /special bench if constituted during this period.”
