QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has said that solidarity for Kashmiris on parliamentary level proved that the nation is united over Kashmir issue. Slamming the Indian Army over human rights violations in occupied Kashmir valley, he said Modi’s fondness for war has made India a threat to the regional stability.

He shared these views on Wednesday while addressing a Kashmir Seminar at Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad, vowing to continue support for the suppressed Kashmiri people.

“India has become an imminent threat for regional peace because of Prime Minister Modi’s fondness for war. People of Kashmir are facing a shortage of food and medicines due to the lockdown,” Jam Kamal said, adding that Kashmir never was an internal matter of India rather it has always been an international issue.

Lauding the efforts of Prime Minister Imran Khan for highlighting the Kashmir issue globally, chief minister of Balochistan said 58 countries have expressed solidarity with the Pakistani narrative over Kashmir, while 28 have linked the Kashmir issue with the United Nations Security Council’s resolution.

He added that since August 5, people of Balochistan have shown full support to the Kashmiri brothers and sisters, while rallies and protests were also held periodically across the province.

“Kashmir issue is a matter of life and death for Pakistan and we will never divert from our love and solidarity for the people of the occupied valley,” the chief minister said while stressing upon a unanimous approach towards Kashmir.

“Today Kashmiri people are looking towards Pakistan and only we as a nation can win them freedom from the Indian occupation.”

He added that Balochistan has a major quota for Kashmiri brothers and sisters and people from the province always give their love and full support to the Kashmiri people.

Overseas Pakistanis

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal also urged the Pakistani community abroad to apprise the world of the miseries of the Kashmiri people and garner support to help them achieve their right to self-determination.

Addressing the participants, he said a delegation of parliamentarians from Balochistan has already reached New York to highlight the Kashmir crisis. Jam Kamal urged the country’s youth, in particular, to use social media to highlight the miseries and atrocities taking place in Kashmir.

“People of Pakistan have always supported their brothers in the occupied valley and we will continue to support them till their freedom from India,” the chief minister said.

“The expression of solidarity and unity by the nation on the Kashmir cause is a message to the whole world,” he added.

Calling Indian actions and measures in the valley illegal and callous, the chief minister reiterated that Kashmiris are giving sacrifices to achieve their freedom.
