At the D23 Expo, it was announced that Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will be joining the cast of upcoming Marvel film The Eternals.

The superhero film is one of the most highly-anticipated of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) flicks from Phase 4. The star-studded cast includes Salt star Angelina Jolie, Bodyguard's Richard Madden, Frida actor Salma Hayek, along with Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan and Gemma Chan, reported Pinkvilla.

Kit will be seen Dane Whitman aka Black Knight, who is a non-Eternal. It had been reported that The Eternals would begin filming from September, which seems to be confirmed by Hayek who plays the superhero groups leader, Ajak.

"I still can’t believe that I’m working with #jonsnow! Kit you’re the best!!! Todavía no puedo creer que estoy trabajando con Jon Snow," the Mexican-American star wrote.

Harington now seems fit and ready to take on his latest role after the GoT character that made him famous, after he reportedly checked into a rehab facility in Connecticut for treatment of stress and alcohol problems earlier on in the year.

Directed by Chloé Zhao, The Eternals is slated to release on November 6, 2020.
