One killed, 35 injured in bus accident

FAISALABAD: One person was killed while 35 others sustained multiple injuries in a bus accident near Sultan Nagar at Chak Jhumra Road, Faisalabad. Rescue 1122 officials stated that a speeding bus, carrying workers from a local mill, sped out of control and overturned. As a result, 26-year-old Elyas died on the spot while first aid was provided to 22 passengers on the spot. Rescue workers shifted 13 others, who were critically injured, to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital. The injured were identified as 24-year-old Nadeem, 30-year-old Dawar Masih, 25-year-old Adnan, 42-year-old Younus, 33-year-old Sajid, 40-year-old Waqas, 25-year-old Majid, 14-year-old Sana, 16-year-old Sanam, 26-year-old Waqas, 22-year-old Azhar, 20-year-old Rimsha and 18-year-old Maria.
