Leading global smartphone brand, OPPO has achieved yet another milestone by becoming number one in terms of sales volume in the Pakistani market.

According to Canalys, a globally known technology and smartphone market analyst firm, OPPO increased localisation in their strategy to secure the top spot in the months of June and July 2019.

Despite the shrinkage of the total market size for smartphones in Pakistan, OPPO has reinforced its commitment to the Pakistani market and is aiming for a stronger brand presence across the country.

"With our wide range of highly economical smartphones available at a variety of price points, OPPO is growing at an exponential rate in Pakistan that we are looking forward to maintaining," stated Ali Kakvi, Director Marketing, OPPO.

According to the report, Pakistan’s smartphone shipments for July was at 0.7 million units and its dominance was established by the highest vendor share at 36% across Pakistan. As a result, OPPO is leading with a market share of 25% while Samsung is catching up albeit slowly at 19%.

OPPO has made its mark in the Pakistani market by grabbing the attention of a wide range of buyers while the brand is also all set to unveil its latest line of A-series. The mid-level smartphone market is yet to see what all the Chinese company is to offer with the OPPO A9 and A5.

Furthermore, apart from fulfilling their brand goals the company aims to generate employment opportunities by upscaling the workforce.
