JHELUM: In a surprising move, the Jhelum district administration has placed barriers with the signs ‘No Entry’ on Kutcheri Road’ in the district, creating problems for people who wish to either access their residents along the road or those who wish to visit the government offices located there.

The road, a key thoroughfare in the district, houses the offices of the district’s deputy commissioner, the civil defence department and the district road transport authority along with a host of other government offices.

Several housing colonies are also located on the route including Professor Colony, Officers’ Colony and Gulzari Colony. Residents of these colonies say security officials have asked them to use an alternative route to get to their homes.

Citizens, however, say they face extreme difficulties in reaching Dangi Pull.
