Chohan scandal probe begins 

The committee chairman will present the report to Rawalpindi Education Board chairman

RAWALPINDI: An inquiry committee led by Dr Ghulam Jhagra has started an investigation of a scandal involving the provincial minister’s son. The minister allegedly pressured related authorities to increase his son’s marks in his examination. Provincial Minister Fayyaz Chohan has been accused of pressuring the related authorities for awarding grace marks to his son Fahad Chohan in his Physics practical examination. Dr Jhagra has obtained all related records of Fahad’s examination, including record of theory and his practical papers. He also has records of the students’ proceeding and preceding roll numbers. The statements of the examiners, head examiners and assistant examiners have also been recorded. The inquiry will be completed on September 16. The committee chairman will present the report to Rawalpindi Education Board chairman on September 17.
