PTI MPA to be indicted on next hearing

The case pertains to death threat and vandalism

KARACHI: A local court provided case copies on Saturday to accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Malik Shehzad Awan in the case pertaining to death threat and vandalism. The West judicial magistrate heard the case.

Awan appeared before the court and was provided with copies of the case. The indictment will be issued on September 25. Eight others accused in the case are on the run.

The court directed that the accused on the run, Dost Muhammad, Abdul Khaliq, Noor Muhammad, Saeed, Shabbir, Tahir Ajmal and Qadir Afghani, be arrested.

According to police, the accused pointed a gun at Head Constable Akhtar Tanoli, slapped and threatened him. Awan was speaking against senior police officials. The case against him and other accused was registered at Ittehad Town Police Station.
