QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) leader Lashkari Raisani has said Balochistan could emerge as the most developed province of Pakistan if it were granted provincial autonomy.

“In order to put Balochistan on track of development, we should sacrifice our personal interest and work for achieving collective interests,” Raisani said on Friday while visiting a strike camp, set up by the Balochistan Pharmacists Alliance.

“Unfortunately, the province is ruled by people who always compromise on provincial rights in favour of their personal interests and never show seriousness in resolving public issues,” Raisani said,

He slammed the provincial government for its alleged negligence.

“Educated people in Balochistan have been protesting for their rights since last one year but rather than addressing their issues, the government is found using force against them.”
