Administrative Units: Govt planning to divide G-B

DIAMER: The government is planning to divide Gilgit-Baltistan into three divisions, Minister for Law Wazir Shakeel told APP on Thursday. Shakeel said the decision to divide the region into Gilgit, Diamer and Baltistan divisions would be discussed at the next G-B council meeting, adding that the move would help strengthen the economy, and reduce poverty and unemployment in the region. He said the government is working for the development of the area and the welfare of the masses.
