ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the Board of Investment (BOI) chairman to expedite work on ease of doing business, eliminate unnecessary permissions and regulations in all ministries and present weekly progress report in this respect.

In a meeting held Wednesday, the prime minister reviewed steps being taken regarding ease of doing business for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

He said that the present government was making all-out efforts to utilise all available resources and technology to transform institutions and system on modern lines.

“Matters relating to contract enforcement and further streamlining of land revenue, should especially be focused in consultation with the Ministry of Law,” he added.

BOI Chairman Zubair GiIlani briefed the prime minister in detail about the measures, taken so far, by the organisation regarding ease of doing business for SMEs.
