Inauguration of first roads construction project under the ‘Naya Pakistan Manzaleen Aasan’ project

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has inaugurated the first roads construction project under the ‘Naya Pakistan Manzaleen Aasan’ project in Hafizabad. As part of the project, 1236km long carpeted roads will be constructed in rural areas of the province with a budget of Rs15 billion during the first phase of this programme. According to details, the 8.3km long road will be constructed from Sindhwan Tarrar to Bluno via Mogi. The chief minister inaugurated various development schemes in Kolo Tarar area of Hafizabad including Government Degree College for Women in eastern side of Hafizabad, Rescue 1122 emergency centre for Pindi Bhattian and a Police Khidmat Markaz besides inauguration of a tree plantation drive over an area of 58 kanal of state land, retrieved from land grabbers. As much as 794 kanal of land has been vacated from squatters in Hafizabad district worth Rs1.64 billion. The CM also planted a sapling under the tree plantation campaign.
