The Supreme Court on Friday rejected the summary that had been sent to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani regarding implementation of the NRO case and adjourned hearing till the first week of July.

The court directed the law ministry to prepare a new summary to be sent to the Prime Minister. The court said it should contain details of steps that need to be taken to implement the verdict.

Justice Khawaja remarked that it seems the law ministry is misguiding the Prime Minister. The court says it should contain details of steps that need to be taken to implement the verdict.

It further added that the cases pending in different countries, including the Swiss cases, must be reopened.

In Thursday's proceedings, the court had expressed dissatisfaction over measures being taken by the government to implement the NRO verdict. It had directed the Law Secretary to appear before the court along with the summary sent to the Prime Minster.

The court remarked that being Chief Executive of the country, it was the responsibility of the Prime Minster to ensure implementation of the court’s verdicts.

Hearing has been adjourned till the first week of July.
