LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has said the world’s failure to stop brutalities being committed against the Kashmiris is a cause for serious concern for Pakistan and warned that a biased and partial implementation of justice will lead the world towards destruction.

“Kashmiris would be justified in taking up arms if the international community fails to stop their ethnic cleansing as the UN resolutions give the oppressed the right to armed struggle against an occupying forces,” Shehbaz, also leader of opposition in the National Assembly, said on Saturday in a statement.

He said the Kashmiri youth cannot remains silent over the crimes being committed against their mothers, sisters, daughters and children.  What is the message that the silence of the international community conveys to the Kashmiri youth, he asked.

Shehbaz said a nation faced with ethnic cleansing has the right to go to any extent for their defense ad survival. He said if the international community does not abide by its commitment then it will not have the right to preach sermons to anyone.

“If the bloodshed is not stopped then the oppressed Kashmiris will consider the international community as hands on glove with the murderers,” he added.

Sharif said Pakistanis cannot remain silent over oppression of Kashmiris. Just as the west was concerned about East Timor and South Sudan, Pakistan is concerned about Kashmiris.

“The western nations were concerned about Christian populations and the rights of other nations while Pakistan is concerned about Kashmir and Palestine. The world is standing at cross roads.”

He said Indian Premier Narendra Modi is playing with the peace of the entire world and humanity. “Peace and prosperity cannot be expected after sowing seeds of oppression. “

He said the fruit of oppression, prejudice and hatred is not the fate of the entre humanity and hence the world will have to decide whether it wants to make the world a hell or a heaven. “The people who are offering sacrifices for more than 70 years cannot be intimated by fear or subjugated into submission.”
