Agri dept warns of mealybug attacks
Farmers advised spraying the plants at the earliest, in the presence of mealybugs
MULTAN:
The Punjab agriculture department has warned farmers to take special care of cotton crop as mealybug attacks have been reported in various areas of South Punjab. According to Assistant Director Agriculture Information Naveed Asmat Kohloon, mealybug attacks could affect cotton productivity. If it is not controlled in a timely manner, it can lead to a disaster in the cotton sector. Naveed suggested farmers observe cotton plants and in the presence of mealybugs, they should spray plants at the earliest.
