Lahore police donate blood

Police chief says he's happy with the voluntary blood donation from policemen for children suffering from Thalassemia

LAHORE: Lahore police have decided to contribute to blood donations for children suffering from Thalassemia.

In this regard, an MoU has been signed on Saturday, during a ceremony, between Lahore police and Sundas Foundation where Lahore CCPO BA Nasir was the chief guest. SSP Administration Athar Waheed, on behalf of Lahore CCPO, signed the MoU while Muhammad Yasin Khan represented Sundas Foundation as its president.

The CCPO visited all sections of Sundas Foundation office and distributed sweets and gifts among minor thalassemia patients and blood donors.

The Lahore police chief said that he was happy that with the help of voluntary blood donation from policemen, many lives can be protected. “I am living in a unique moment today. We want to become part of the mission of Sundas Foundation to facilitate humanitarian activities” pledged the CCPO.

He also paid tribute to late chairman of Sundas Foundation for his role in helping minor Thalassemia patients.

Senior Journalist Sohail Warraich, while praising the initiative taken by Lahore police, commended the friendly attitude of the Lahore CCPO.

“The police have proven that with the core obligation of protecting lives and properties of the people, they can donate their blood when needed”.
