Floods, Monsoon: ‘Health Department is prepared’

The secretary directed the department to repair damaged medical equipment by August 31.

LAHORE: The Health Department has finalised arrangements to provide medical aid to people during the monsoons  and in case of flood, said Wasim Mukhtar, the health special secretary, at a departmental meeting on Wednesday. The meeting was arranged to review the performance of tehsil headquarters hospitals (THQ) and rural health centres of Muzaffargarh district. Mukhtar directed the staff to remain alert and prepared in the monsoon season. The speakers also discussed measures to control malaria and tuberculosis. The secretary directed the department to repair damaged medical equipment by August 31.
