Sentenced: Toddler’s murderer gets death penalty

One man sentenced to death and another to a life term in prison for kidnapping and killing a 3 year-old boy in 2008.

FAISALABAD: Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) judge Raja Muhammad Arshad sentenced one man to death and another to a life term in prison for kidnapping and killing a three-year-old boy in 2008.

According to police officials, Chak No.268RB residents Muhammad Azam, Ghafoor Ahmed, Muhammad Farooq and Maqsood Ahmed kidnapped Muhammad Arshad’s son Aqeel on October 20, 2008 and demanded Rs2.5m for his release. Later, the accused killed the minor and threw his body in front of his father’s house. The police traced the accused and submitted a challan in the court of law after registering an abduction and murder case..
