Public decries increase in lab test fee

JHELUM: The public is crying foul as the Punjab health department has increased the lab-test fee in public hospitals by 200 percent. According to a notification issued, the primary and secondary healthcare department has increased charges of up to 43 laboratory-tests by 200 percent. The public have expressed displeasure over the decision and declared it an anti-poor policy. Many said that people were already being kneaded from inflation and now, to add to it, the government had taken away a cheap treatment facility from them.  They said that the prime minister made false promises before election and now he was dropping inflation bombs on the public.
