City police Wednesday arrested a Nigerian and recovered over a hundred bottles of beer and dozens of liquor bottles from his possession.
Ezema, the Nigerian national, was arrested from a restaurant in sector G-10/4, with a huge quantity of liquor.
Shalimar police recovered 128 cans of beer and 28 bottles of liquor from his possession. Police said that Ezema was a professional bootlegger and was delivering the liquor to different places.
He was produced before a court and sent to jail on judicial remand. In another raid on an illegal brewery in a house in Shehzad Town, police arrested four suspects and recovered 105 bottles of moonshine liquor, 40 cans of beer, fake labels, and brewing equipment.
The nabbed suspects were identified as Aashir Masih, Aneel Masih, Hameed Masih and Javed Masih. Police were interrogating them and were hopeful of getting more leads from the suspects.
