RAWALPINDI: Police have safely recovered two girls kidnapped from Rawalpindi on Eidul Azha from Samarzar Colony on Adyala Road in precincts of Saddar police station.

Both the sisters had gone to a nearby shop to buy ice-cream. Police traced the girls in Peshawar by tracing the mobile data of the kidnappers.

The victims are relatives of a high profile government personality who had pursued Punjab inspector general of police, regional and city police officers of Rawalpindi for their safe recovery.

Subsequently, Rawalpindi police coordinated with Peshawar police who initially arrested a suspect named Shehzad and traced the remaining suspects through their mobile data.

Both victims were shifted to Rawalpindi from Peshawar on Thursday and were later taken to District Headquarters Hospital for a detailed medical examination.
